The panels for Lobster Tail Jackets are all individually lined and bias–bound, before assembling with flat lapped seams. Because bias binding can not be used to edge sharp corners, all the panels are rounded. As rounded tails can not be sewn together into a flat edge, the four tails of the jacket have a distinctive scalloped shape, like a lobster’s tail.
