An important face of Tender’s English–made clothing is the nurture which is put into the clothes: in their research, design, manufacture and wear. Tender’s goal is for the owner to live with their clothes, wearing them hard, but respecting their provenance and the stories they have to tell.

Coffee Dyed Unfinished Wool Baize Argyle Chest Pocket Shirt 

An argyle is a weaving or knitting pattern composed of diamond shapes, often interlocking with thinner diagonal checks. The Argyle Chest Pocket Shirt is based on the Millwheel Shirt, with a diagonally angled square chest pocket forming an argyle pattern at the top of the left front panel. Argyles are a loose adaptation of the Clan Campbell tartan from Argyle in the West of Scotland, and were popularised in the early Twentieth Century by the Duke of Windsor.

Fabrics woven in England / Rinsed to shrink / Pleated false faced cuffs / Savile Row tailors’ melamine buttons / 100% cotton thread shrunk to form puckered seams

An experimental project with Workshop Coffee, wool rib socks are dyed with finely ground coffee which has not passed through Workshop’s quality–control processes for drinking, so would otherwise be wasted.
