These jeans are made of denim woven on Japan’s first power loom, the G3, the legend of which has already been passed down through the generations. the G3 denim uses a weaving technique commonly known as ”darashi weaving,” in which the vertical tension is loosened to create the weave. This method allows skilled craftsmen to manually adjust the machine to create a unique unevenness and rough texture that cannot be reproduced by modern machines. Only experienced craftsmen who have been working with denim for many years can faithfully reproduce the rugged and rough denim of the workwear of the time.
